Carol Staben-Burroughs is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in private practice in Bozeman, MT. She graduated from Montana State University in 1988 with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
After completing the requirements for licensure, she passed her exam and has been licensed to practice independently since 1990. Carol does relationship and individual counseling, counseling for marriage and divorce, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, just to name a few. She is a member of many Employee Assistance Programs.
Carol is a Trainer for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation http://icisf.org and offers local and regional trainings for Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Medical and other Public Safety personnel. She is the clinical director for the Gallatin County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team and volunteers with the Montana CISM Network http://dma.mt.gov/des/library/cism. She is also an approved instructor for the Montana Law Enforcement Academy http://doj.mt.gov/enforcement/training.

Carol is a retired non-tenure-track professor at Montana State University's Dept. of Education, Health and Human Development (http://montana.edu/ehhd). She taught at MSU for 30 years and retired Spring 2017.
She is past president of the American Mental Health Counselor's Association http://amhca.org, the Montana Clinical Mental Health Counselor's Association http://mlcpca.org, and the Montana CISM Network. Carol was appointed by Governor Steve Bullock to the Montana Board of Behavioral Health in 2013.
Carol has four generations of family members living in the area, is active at her church, and travels just as much as she can!
